About
How we're different
SpineStrength holds worldwide patents on a unique way to strengthen the entire spine
- SpineStrength's advantage is its ability to condition the entire length of the spine in a single exercise, unlike existing equipment that simply trains the upper (cervical) section or lower (lumbar) sections in isolation
- SpineStrength research has shown that the key to delivering complete spinal conditioning lies in understanding the movement at each vertebral level. The spine can be considered as forming two distinct sections, with the cervical spine (neck) behaving very differently and being treated seperately from the remaining thoracic and lumbar (middle and lower) spine

Total spinal conditioning system, patented by SpineStrength Limited
- The SpineStrength equipment isolates the cervical spine as it shows an exceptional range of motion compared to the remaining spine and is the location of the most serious injuries. This is done by modelling movement of the head (at the atlanto-occipital joint) rotating about the base of the cervical spine (C7-T1 segment in adults), thus matching the true biomechanics of the body
- The remaining thoraco-lumbar spine is then trained by applying additional loading to the middle and lower back, creating a patented method for training the whole spine
- In this way, the complex collective movement of the individual vertebrae can be modelled to create exercises that follow the natural movements of the spine. These exercises have huge advantages over existing isolation training as they allow the entire length of the muscles (which can run the length of the spine) to be trained at once, allowing total spinal conditioning and greater improvements in coordination and control
